Computer Education in Navodaya Vidyalayas:

JNVs being model pace-setting institutions in the district are equipped with the required education technology including computers. The main objectives are:

 Facilitate the students to learn on continuous basis from class VI to XII.

 Create computer culture and consciousness among the young rural students.

 Facilitate the students with different range of computer applications and help them to understand the potential of Information technology in learning process.

 Empower the teachers to use computers as one of their important teaching aid.

 Provide hands on  experience to the Students.

 Improve the capacities of the children in term of their performance in scholastic and non-scholastic activities.

 Integrate Information Technology with classroom transaction.

A revised Computer Literacy and Studies in school class scheme has been introduced in 2001 by Govt. Of India. The Main Objectives are:

 To create awareness among school students about the computer and its usage in teaching- learning process.

 TO insure full benefit of information and communication technology in their daily life and in education at every level

Computer Education to Neighborhood Schools:

 As a part of the Class Scheme, Govt. of India has assigned the responsibility to Samiti to extend the facility of computer literacy to students of neighborhood schools by each Navodaya Vidyalaya where Computer Education Programme are under operation
